Heliospheric Weather Expert Service Centre - Case Study |
The H-ESC has capacity to run a limited number of 3D MHD Enlil runs to support specific case studies. Requests are processed by the UK Met Office under a fair usage agreement. Jobs are run sequentially. Note that the runs have to be accommodated outside operational scheduled runs and therefore cannot be provided in support of near-real-time analysis or assessment at the current time. This product is therefore most appropriate for post event analysis or simulating possible event scenarios.
Please note that this product is no longer available and any requests submitted from 1st March 2023 will not be processed. Please consider the use of models provided through the VSWMC as an alternative.
To make a request please use the form below. Specify a start date (this will be used to select the background solar wind conditions). Then supply zero, one or more CME characteristics that will be included within the Enlil MHD propagation into the solar system. Ensure that you include all requested parameters and that the launch times fall within the simulation time frame (-7 days < T < +5 days).
Currently only a standard run is available providing output from -2 days < T < +5 days and results out to 2AU. The resulting Enlil files will be E-mailed to your registered SSA/SWE e-mail address so please ensure that this is current.
