Heliospheric Weather Expert Service Centre - Case Study |
Enlil is a 3D MHD heliosphere model that propagates near-Sun solar wind properties and transient related to CME events out into the heliosphere. This product makes use of the version of Enlil that is installed and run by the UK MOSWOC and that is used to produce the routine pre-operational solar wind and CME arrival forecasts provided by the H-ESC.
The bespoke submission process allows you to enter your own information in order to tailor the run to your particular needs. Two types of inputs are required:
You will receive a further e-mail once the job has completed. The results will be attached to that e-mail and consist of the model input (cone file) and mp4 movie of the showing the evolution of the heliospheric density of speed during the interval and the time series data for density and speed at the Earth's location. The time series data is provided in netCDF format and further details can be found on the Enlil/E product page.
